Medilarm Classic - Elderly Personal Alarm
The Medilarm Classic Personal Alarm for the Elderly is a very simple personal alarm designed to offer peace of mind and protection so owners can maintain independent living.
You will never have to worry that your elderly relative may fall and not be able to get in touch with carers, friends or family members. By using the Medilarm Classic Personal Alarm for the Elderly you can be reassured someone can be contacted should the wearer fall or become incapacitated.
"There are no further monthly monitoring charges with the Medilarm Classic as you decide who it calls."
You decide on the numbers you want it to call and/or send a text message to in the event that either the Big Red SOS button or the Wristwatch Emergency Button is pressed. It uses the mobile phone network so does not need to be connected to a phone line and can be located anywhere their is a mobile phone signal and a standard mains power socket.
The Medilarm Classic Personal Alarm For The Elderly qualifies for VAT Relief, saving you 20%. Login or register at the checkout and indicate if you are eligible then VAT will be removed.
How does it work?
By calling the Medilarm Classic and entering a simple code you can select whether you want it to call or text the saved numbers or both. Once this setup is complete you do not have to do this again.
If the alarm button is pressed the Medilarm Classic sends a text message to all its programmed numbers and then starts calling these numbers one by one. The calling sequence can be stopped by pressing the reset button on the front of the personal alarm or by entering a code, otherwise every phone number will be called so you can ensure that contact is made. If a number is redirected to voicemail then the next number will be called after the voicemail automatically disconnects.
If you wish to check on your elderly relative without disturbing them you can call the alarm from another phone to listen into its local surroundings - a password is required.
There is no complicated setup and most people will be able to do this themselves or we can do this for you if required. A Pay-As-You-Go SIM card is needed onto which you save any numbers you want it to call or text and then this SIM is simply inserted into the personal alarm.

Compatibility
A SIM card from either Vodafone, Orange or T-Mobile is required for full functionality. You can buy these from us or obtain one yourself locally.
giffgaff (O2 Network) SIM Cards will work but only one number can be sent a text message and called. This is because giffgaff SIM cards already have 4 giffgaff contacts stored onto the SIM that cannot be removed. These numbers are called first and are just recorded information numbers and voicemail (only one of these numbers is chargeable).
O2, Tesco Mobile and Asda SIM cards are not compatible.
Other network operators should work but cannot be guaranteed.
Setup
Setup is carried out by saving the numbers you would like it to call or text onto the SIM Card. This is achieved by putting this SIM Card into a mobile phone and adding the numbers as contacts to the SIM. If you would like us to do this for you then please purchase a SIM from us and specify your requirements via our installation services option.

Thankyou very much for your help in deciding which alarm to get for my mum. We have set the numbers up as you suggested and she is very happy with it. The family are now much happier knowing she can get in touch. I will happily recommend you to my friends. Thankyou again.
