To be eligible you or the person you are purchasing the Personal Alarm for the Elderly for must have a disability or suffer from a chronic condition. The following are recognised chronic conditions
If you are in any doubt as to whether you are eligible to receive goods or services zero-rated for VAT you should consult Customs and Excise Notice 701/7 ‘VAT relief’s for disabled people’ or contact the Customs and Excise National service on 0845 010 9000. It is an offence to falsely claim VAT Relief. |
