Using a keypad means that the main alarm panel can be located away from where an intruder could easily find it and destroy it. This means that the alarm can carry out its function for longer and warn away potential thieves.
If you are considering fitting a static panic button by the front door in case of energency then this is an ideal substitute combining the emergency button with the convenience of activation.
